On the 19 and 20 May 2023, IX. National Congress of the Croatian Sociological Association was held in Split. The Congress was titled ‘Croatia: a Divided Society? Sociological Contributions to the Discussion‘, and it was organized by the Croatian Sociological Association, the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar (Split Regional Centre), the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split and the Academy of Arts in Split. This year’s CSA National Congress gathered numerous sociologists from various Croatian universities and institutes, who discussed and analysed various mechanisms for creating social inequalities and their consequences during 43 presentations, 4 panels and 1 round table. Within the framework of this year’s National Congress, the regular Electoral Assembly of the Croatian Sociological Associaton was held, at which the new president of the Croatian Sociological Society – Marko Mustapić – was elected and the HSD Chairmanship for the next two-year period was called: Anja Gvozdanović (vicepresedent), Dragan Bagić (vicepresident), Simona Kuti (member), Rašeljka Krnić (member), Marija Lončar (member), Marko Marelić (member), Marko Mrakovčić (member), Sven Marcelić (member) i Marita Grubišić-Čabo (secretary).
