An international conference “Qualitative Transitions: Issues of Methodology in Central and South-East European Sociologies” was held, organized with the support of the International Sociological Association. The academic committee included: Inga Tomić-Koludrović, president of the committee and the Croatian Sociological Society; Michael Buroway, President of the International Sociological Society (ISA); Krzysztof Konecki, President of the Qualitative Methodology Section of the European Sociological Association (ESA); Giampietro Gobo, founder of the section for qualitative methodology of the European Sociological Society and professor at the University of Milan, and Nenad Fanuko (University of Rijeka) and Katharina Scherke (University of Graz).

“A SPLIT IN THE WORLD AND THE WORLD. SYMPOSIUM ON THE PERSON AND WORK OF ŽELJKO MARDEŠIĆ”
The co-organizers of the conference are the Christian Present, the Christian Academic Circle, the Center for the Promotion of the Social Science of the Church and the Catholic Theological Faculty in Zagreb. It is an interdisciplinary gathering at which the sociological, religious and theological aspects of the work of Ž. Mardešić.
The meeting was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Zagreb, in the Chromos Tower – Ulica grada Vukovara 271.
