The Future Fund is an initiative that plays a key role in supporting young sociologists in the development of their careers and professional development. It is based on the voluntary contributions of CSA members, as well as others who in this way strive to contribute to the general progress of the sociology profession in Croatia. Thanks to previous donations, since 2013 we have been able to provide financial support to our scholarship recipients.
Reimbursement of travel expenses is awarded to finance the costs of presentations at scientific conferences or congresses or for attending winter/summer schools and scientific workshops in Croatia and abroad. Preference will be given to candidates traveling abroad.
Assistants, senior assistants, and students of graduate and post-graduate doctoral studies in sociology in Croatia or abroad who are members of CSA can apply for the competition. Applicants can apply for funding of a maximum of one conference/congress/workshop/summer/winter school that was either held in the period from October 1, 2023, to the date of the call for tenders or that will be held in the period after the call for tenders until September 30, 2024 .
The received requests will be evaluated by a three-member commission appointed by HSD. When considering the request, the relevance of the conference/congress/workshop/school for the student's scientific training will be taken into account (for example, the significance of the conference or congress, thematic connection to the student's work or the acquisition of skills necessary for research). The request for travel expenses compensation should include:
1) Completed application form for travel scholarship; 2) A certificate of a presentation or participation in a winter school or workshop (e.g. a copy from a book of abstracts or a program or a copy of a certificate of presentation or participation), or a certificate of a work accepted for presentation or a place obtained in a summer school or workshop (e.g. a copy of the receipt letter or e-mail); 3) CV/curriculum vitae.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Candidates will be informed about the results of the tender within two weeks from the end of the tender.
