Na konferenciji Europske sociološke asocijacije (ESA) koja se između 27. i 30. kolovoza 2024. godine održala u Portu u Portugalu, Odsjek za sociologiju Filozofskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu je imao vrlo snažnu prisutnost.
Naš Krešimir Žažar je s visokim brojem glasova izabran na drugi mandat u ESA Executive Committee, a osim toga je moderirao i niz sesija na konferenciji, uključujući i Midday Special: ESA Best Article Awards and ESA Young Scholar Award. Također, Tanja Vučković Juroš je izabrana kao ko-koordinatorica Research Network 23 Sexuality, te je bila i pozvana govornica na Midday Special: LGBTQI+ Tensions and Transformations.
