The Organizing Committee of the Sociological Association of Ukraine (SAU) is honored to invite you to participate in our V Congress, “Sociology and Society in an Exponential World: Research Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects”. The Congress will be held in a hybrid format on November 20-21, 2025 , hosted by the Faculty of Sociology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
At this critical juncture in global history, the Congress aims to foster a profound and necessary dialogue on the complex transformations shaping our world. We will delve into the profound societal shifts caused by war, technological acceleration, and structural crises. The event provides a unique platform to engage with the firsthand experiences and cutting-edge research of Ukrainian sociologists, particularly concerning themes of social resilience, wartime adaptation, and post-war recovery.
The academic program is designed to be comprehensive and engaging, featuring plenary sessions, a masterclass, and presentations of new publications. The core of our discourse will unfold across34 thematic sections,3 discussion panels , and 3 roundtables , covering a wide spectrum of topics from military studies and social solidarity to the challenges of the algorithmic society and the future of social sciences.
We invite you to contribute to this vital academic conversation by submitting an abstract or a full article for presentation. The deadline for registration and submission of all materials is September 20, 2025. Accepted works will be considered for publication in a digital collection of abstracts or as full articles in esteemed sociological journals of Ukraine.
