The Research Network 12 Environment and Society of the European Sociological Association warmly invites national sociological associations to take part in our upcoming series “RN12 Talks on Environment and Society.”
The series will consist of series of webinars, each hosted by a national association. Through these events, we aim to strengthen connections within our network, learn more about one another’s work, and showcase research that addresses environmental issues of particular significance identified and consider by sociologists in different national or regional contexts.
We invite your association to host one of these webinars. Each event should feature:
- 1 or 2 talks on a chosen theme (selected by the host association), relevant to the intersection of environment and society
- Discussion time (40 minutes) following the presentations, ensuring space for dialogue and exchange across the network
Talks should not exceed 40 minutes each, so that the shared discussion can be given priority. We particularly encourage you to invite early-stage researchers to present their work, as this will enrich the international exchange of perspectives and foster networking opportunities.
By participating, your association will contribute to a vibrant platform for scholarly dialogue, connecting national perspectives with broader international conversations on the pressing environmental challenges of our time.
To join the series, please sign up for a webinar slot in the shared schedule here.
Please sign it till 30 November 2025 to give us time for promoting your topic. Having the declaration of interest I will contact you directly to discuss the details.
We look forward to your engagement and to building this collective space for collaboration and exchange.
